Seattle Girl teaches in Mesquite

September 14, 2016 Cedar City, UT

Emily Burton, a student at Souther Utah University has partnered up with the Mesquite, Nevada Recreation Center to offer dance camps over the summer. These camps are running for four week start June 13 and ending the week of July 11, skipping the week of June 27th. The camps run Monday through Thursday the first class ages 4-7 from 10:30am-Noon and the second camp ages 7-11 from 12:30pm- 2:30pm. The camps are held at the Mesquite Recreation Center.

In these camps the dancers will be introduced to a variety of dance styles including, jazz, ballet, lyrical and musical theater. All of which Emily has training in. The dancers will also play a variety of games and other activities to practice the technique of each style. At the end of the camp the dancers will put on a performance for friends and family showcasing what they learned.

This press release is done by the EDGE program at Southern Utah University. The EDGE program is design to help students get real world experience while still in school. This way when they graduate they can have an "edge" over the others they compete with for jobs.
